FPP X-Ray Film Info & Tips:

• Sourced from medical X-ray film and cut to 4×5 film (Standard 4×5 notched)
• diffusion effect and beautiful, enhanced grain into every photo due to the lack of anti-halation layer
• Variable ISO – shoot between 200 – 400 ISO – Our tests indicate that 200 ISO is the “sweet spot”
• An Orthochromatic (ortho) film. Ortho films can only see blue and green (outdoor) light. Reds are rendered darker and therefore create darker skin tones. 
• Our X-ray film has a higher green sensitivity, enabling the film to be handled using a red photographic safe-light and allows processing by inspection, meaning you can load and unload film onto your home development reels when using the safe-light
• Please load in dim light (to avoid light piping) and store in a dark camera bag before and after shooting. If storing your film in fridge, freezer or home shelf, store in a light tight bag as well.

This film stock is subject to “light piping” when exposed to room light. Please load in dim light and store in a dark camera bag before and after shooting. This is inherent to the film and may or may not appear on your developed film.

Film can be handled and developed using a Kodak (6 watt) red safelight

Developing at home
Kodak D76 (or FPP 76) – Stock Solution – 7 minutes at 68 degrees Fahrenheit
Diafine – 5 min (both baths) – 70 degrees F
HC110 Dilution B for 7 min. @ 68F (20C)
